Usage and Dosage:
Note: The following are general guidance based on standard veterinary practice; always follow local vet instructions.
Cattle, sheep, goats:
Calves/lambs/kids: 7-10 mg per kg body weight, intramuscularly, once daily for 3-5 days.
Adults: 7-10 mg per kg body weight, intramuscularly, once daily for 3-5 days.
Pigs:
Piglets: 7-10 mg per kg body weight IM, once daily for 3-5 days.
Adults: 7-10 mg per kg body weight IM, once daily for 3-5 days.
Dogs, cats:
10-20 mg per kg body weight IM or SC, once daily for 3-5 days.
Poultry:
Not commonly used as injection, consult with veterinarian.
Horses:
7-10 mg per kg body weight IM, once daily for 3-5 days.
Indications (Indicated Diseases and Symptoms):
Infections caused by amoxicillin-sensitive bacteria, including respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections.
Precautions:
Shake well before use.
Use aseptic technique during injection.
Dosage and duration must be determined by a veterinarian.
Not recommended for animals allergic to penicillins.
Contraindications:
Known allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins).
Use with caution in animals with severe renal dysfunction.
Do not use in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, or gerbils.
Post-medication Care:
Monitor injection site for swelling/pain.
Observe for allergic reactions.
Ensure animal hydration and rest.
Complete the antibiotic course as prescribed to prevent resistance.
