Applicable Animals:
Cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, camels, deer, buffalo, alpacas, yaks, and other livestock species commonly raised globally.
Usage and Dosage:
Dosage and regimen should be determined by a licensed veterinarian. Below is a general guideline for administration:
Cattle, Horses: 15–20 mg/kg combined active ingredients per day, divided into two doses, administered intramuscularly or intravenously.
Pigs, Sheep, Goats: 15–20 mg/kg combined active ingredients per day, divided into two doses, intramuscular or slow intravenous injection.
Other livestock: Use according to veterinarian recommendation based on species and condition.
Course of treatment is typically 3–5 days or as advised by a veterinarian.
Indications and Symptoms:
Treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, particularly respiratory tract infections, digestive tract infections, urinary tract infections, and septicemia.
Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly encountered in livestock.
Precautions:
Ensure animals are hydrated during treatment to help prevent crystalluria and kidney complications.
Monitor for adverse reactions such as hypersensitivity or gastrointestinal upset.
Adjust dosage based on renal or hepatic impairment.
Do not use for prolonged periods without veterinary supervision.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides or trimethoprim.
